Market and Sell Services

I’ve been busier than a one-armed paper-hanger in a windstorm. It’s amazing, before I started my business; I had no business work to do. Once I started my business, I had and still have more business work to do than I can possible accomplish by myself. I’m sure you feel the same way and are wondering how you’re going to get everything done that needs doing. That’s why it’s so important to surround yourself with a team of great resources that can help carry the load. I heard an interview with John Ashraf where he said “Hire those people who play at what you have to work at”. That way you can concentrate on those things that prompted you to start your own business in the first place.
Wellness Programs
The most important work you can do is Market and Sell, your products or services. No one can market and sell your products/services like you can. You can hire a sales force but they will never accomplish the close rate you can because they don’t have the passion for your products/services that you do. Your work is to market, sell, and service the client. Those three things are your core competencies. Study those; take the training that allows you to strengthen those areas to an excellent level.

Everything else you need to get off you. That includes but not limited to:

  • Bookkeeping
  • Website development and maintenance
  • Administrative tasks
  • Social media comments and posts
  • Blog posts
  • Taxes
  • And anything else you need to support the infrastructure of your business

For those of you like me, it’s hard to release the control of any aspect of your business. Especially, since my background is in the computer/website/programming arena. Even though I’m good at other areas, I excel at coaching business owner to increase their sales by at least 40%. Working with clients is where I want to be spending my time.

It’s taken me many years to realize that by spending the time on other than my core competencies keeps me from making money and expressing my passion. The more I understand my core competencies and focus on those, the more money I make, the more clients I can help, and the happier I am.
